According to an ESPN report, Urias was arrested at 11 pm on the 3rd (local time). He was jailed at 1 a.m. and released at 4:47 a.m. after posting $50,000 bail. ESPN reported that Urias’ court date has been set for the 27th of next month.
The LA Dodgers said on Twitter, “We are aware of the incident related to Urias,” and that Urias will not be accompanying the Miami away series that started on the 4th.
Urias was also arrested on domestic violence charges in 2019 and received a 20-game suspension under league rules. ESPN reported, “Since the related regulations were enacted in 2015, no player has been suspended twice for violating these regulations.”
